We were away from school last friday due to a severe storm that forced people in doors and cut power to lots of homes. The following is a piece of writing created from that motivation:
On Thursday there was an EPIC storm it smashed down trees and one of our pales off our fence came off and hit my dad's car. We later on lost our power I was in the lounge playing on the wii I was really was mad because I was in the middle of beating the champion in tennis and I only needed to get one more point to win. After that we got to gather as a family and played board games and card games I just went off and played something else and then my rooms power came on and so did everyone else's.Then we found out that the reason we lost our power was because some lady's trees fell over and we lost our power now she is chopping them down.Then on friday we got a text from miss heatly that there was no school today and you could stay home I was really happy about that.
So on friday I stayed home and played wii and iPod and watched TV all day it was great. It wasn't so bad on friday I don't think many people went to school on friday. Then it was saturday on saturday rugby was cancelled because of weather but then I went to the movies with Dom,Luke,James,Xavier,Tom,Robbie and I we went to see After Earth it was EPIC but I did get a little bit of a fright in the movie and at the end they dropped me home and when I got home I played on my iPod I played nba 2k13 it is an EPIC game I was the celtics and I vs the raptors I won 193 - 102 I won by 91 points.
Then it was sunday on sunday I had Hutt Valley reps training for about 2 hours the storm had finished by sunday and I was happy.
